Summary :
This thesis is an attempet to an architectural method that expresses the cultural side in the civilization of the community living in old capitals cities that allowes construction intrference in important centers ( the nodes ) which considered squares .
In a way that this method reflects on the urban townscape character which considered an aesthetics addition to the urban contextual as a whole , thatط·آ£ط¢آ¢ط£آ¢أ¢â‚¬ع‘ط¢آ¬ط£آ¢أ¢â‚¬â€چط¢آ¢s why the study focused on the studies :
1. Historic architectural construction .
2. Basis and methods of the contextual of the urban design .
3. Architecture design aesthetics in the context .
4. Criteria for old capital cities as case study .
There was a great effect in finding consistency in this study based on the existance of a strong relation ship among the fields metioned before .
And the main goal of this study is to record and analys the current situation in old capitals cities like Cairo, Rome and Paris after following the historic evolution of context of these cities in a critic method aiming to arriving at the beast architectural character that is proper for cities with special order which is considered an extention of its architectural expression and its unique arch. & urban context but in a modern way expresses the authenticity and contemrarity in the same time .
And the study of the aesthetics in the art work usually in the center of the square most of the time is sculpture work a great effect in showing the importance of the artistic side in architect and construction in spite of the deference in cultures and heritage round the civilization from the pharaonic age through the roman age then the renesame and reaching the modern go to study the squares with its current situation in time of writing this study which showes the difficulty of the situation the government faces when attempting to receive these squares .

Goals :
1- The historic tracing of the squares idea over the time since its beginning until now .
2- Recording and analysing the most important squares of the historic cities .

I've get the master degree, at 14/2/2004 from faculty of engineering and at 2/3/2004 from Cairo university ..............

The research problem :
1- Losing identity in the architectural style for the old capital cities squares.
2- The stopping of renewing and reviving the public squares in the historic cities .
3- The inflexibility of modern architecture when interfering in the architectural texture of cities with heritage .

Method of research :
1- Historic , scientific , criticyzing method aiming to search in the theoritical fram of the problem through :
1-1- The construction formation formation .
1-2- The architectural design .
1-3- Beauty in the artistic formation and space .
2- A method of researching and analysis as a field work study for the most important historic cities squares .
